Graphtec is amazingThis machine is amazing... Putting it together and installed was simple- and within 2 minutes It was calibrated and cutting vinyl. the machine is extremely quiet- the fan turns on only when cutting unlike other machines.

the quality of construction is amazing and worth every penny.

Roland VS. graphtec - the reason I choose the graphtec was not money (the graphtec comes with the stand and is 400 bucks cheaper). Roland has a great machine but graphtec deals in this type of equipment exclusively. I have also done much research and the graphtec does a lot better in small letters and decals. the precision is excellent with this machine.

Graphtec E5000-60This plotter and software are amazing. I took it out of the box, installed the software and started cutting. The only problem I had was a Corel Update conficting with Cutting Master 2. After removing the update I have been cutting with no problems at all. Haven't had one lock up, no static inspired stray cuts and haven't reduced any nodes on the wireframe. This plotter handles everything I throw at it.     Front Panel Control and LCD

    The control panel and LCD display provides a simple interface to adjust the machine settings. Up to eight cutting conditions can be saved for rapid recall. The cutting speed, cutting force, tool type, offset value and acceleration (quality) can be specified for each memory. Commonly-used function controls such as instantaneous pause, cutting plotting/condition set-ups, test cut and new origin are directly accessible on the control panel for added user efficiency.

On the job, the CE5000 series offers real cost/performance advantages over other brands of cutting plotters. With faster cutting speeds and higher cutting force, you'll have the flexibility to handle a wider range of material. The USB 2.0 high speed data interface or RS232C Serial Port ensures a reliable connection to the computer, either on a Mac or Windows PC. The CE5000 comes with ROBO Master Pro design software (Windows 2000/XP/Vista) and the completely new Cutting Master 2 Production Manager and Plug-in for the latest versions of CorelDRAW and Adobe Illustrator on Windows. Adobe Illustrator plug-in available for Macintosh systems.

The CE5000-60 series delivers a maximum cutting force of 300 grams and a maximum speed of 24 inches per second (in all directions) while the CE5000-120 delivers a maximum cutting force of up to 450 grams!

The built-in front control panel provides complete parameter control including eight preset cutting conditions, as well as advanced features like tangential control mode, down force offset, pen up speed, blade wear monitoring and more. With a 25 pin RS-232C or the High Speed USB 2.0 control interface, the CE5000 is compatible with legacy computer systems as well as the latest PCs available now and for several years to come.

Media Supply System and Floor Stand...
The precisely crafted media supply system, as an integrated part of the floor stand (standard for both CE5000-60 & the CE5000-120), ensures accurate loading of media material and makes demanding long-length tracking and repetitive job operations effortless. The CE5000's media tracking capability is further enhanced when the optional media catch basket is utilized as another integrated part of its floor stand.

Smart Media Management
The Auto Pre-Feed function automatically unwinds and pre-feeds roll media as needed This feature enhances the plotter's tracking capability and is useful for unattended repeat jobs and long-length projects. With Auto Pre-Feed active, the CE5000 advances the media to a user-specified distance, upon recognition of plot data exceeding the pre-fed length.
