RIP Combos are used to make Film Positives. Using a stock inkjet printer will not print dark enough ink on the film allowing light to shine through the image and will result in loss of detail and/or an exposed image. The RIP Combo uses RIP software that tells the printer to lay down more ink with crisp edges. The Combination of an Epson Printer, RIP Software, Fast Ink, and Waterproof film results in a super opaque image with crisp edges and also gives you half tone capabilities. Every part of the RIP Combo serves a purpose.
AccuRIP™ is a PostScript interpreter called a Raster Image
Processor or RIP. Without PostScript it is impossible to print high-quality halftone dots
on a "non-PostScript" inkjet printer such as an Epson. Even if your printer has PostScript,
it may not be able to print halftone dots because PostScript is often just used to calibrate
and balance colors on an inkjet. The Epson "RIP" does not print halftone dots, but AccuRIP™
does! AccuRIP™ works with the following Epson Printers: 1280, 1520, 1800, 2200, 3000,
4000, 4800.
R-Film™ Waterproof - Tried, Tested, and True R-Film is the
ultimate in waterproof positive technology. We've tested this film extensively ourselves
along with several large screen printers throughout the country. The results have been
outstanding. This 4 mil thick specially formulated film is ideal for optimum density,
drying time, halftone shape, image clarity, and longevity. R-Film works with both pigment
and dye based inks. Available ONLY from Ryonet. Using an Epson printer for film output
requires Waterproof films.
Epson Stylus® Color R1800 With 8-color UltraChrome K3™ inks, 5760 x 1440 dpi
resolution, and ultra-fine 1.5-picoliter ink droplets, the large-format Epson
Stylus® Photo R1800 delivers remarkable archival photos. It even offers true
borderless photo printing on glossy media in six popular sizes.
FastINK™ is the best ink on the
market for inkjet printers. Our FastINK™ Dye ink is specially formulated for
printing on clear film or screen emulsions (DTS ink) and is designed to be quick
drying, scratch resistant, and have excellent UV blocking characteristics.

a four color process image.

Demonstrate proper screen registration and printing techniques.
Conclude with final pointers and valuable tips.
R1800 Bulk System: There are bulk systems for the R1800 printer, however after
working with these for several years and trouble shooting through problems, we
have determined that the R1800 printer is not setup to feed or suck
the ink when using a gravity fed bulk system. Ryonet suggests that users
continue to use FastInk cartridges as their standard form of ink supply until a
properly working bulk system is developed.
NOTE: All newer model Epson Printers require Waterproof Films
